Well, that's your fault for liking it so hot in your room and allowing direct sunlight to hit the computer (which is bad for the parts anyway). I like it super cold in my house, relatively speaking. 70-75F is pretty comfortable, anything over 80 is horrid.

Silly women and your warm blooded nature :P

No no no....you misundersand. My room is a cave. I have black curtains (w/a white liner). There's no direct sun in my room, ever. I'm talking about weather & the natural progression of rising heat in a house. If it's sunny, even in winter by mid-late afternoon when sun hits this side of the house the room is 75F and the GPU reaches those temps. It's in summer that it gets to be 85-95F in here for long hours even w/the windows open.

Plus, the hot air from the card heats up the room some degrees over a long time. Put your hand back there, it's like a mini-heater blower, seriously. Hubby's den w/his many PC's running is often 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. PC's put off heat, man. But the point was that right this minute it's 65F in this room and the GPU is sitting at 40C. By 5pm it'll be 75F in here and the GPU will be at 48F or something.

And hubby's the one who likes heat, I hate heat. <_<

Your comment brings me to an all-too-inappropriate story.

Why do I even bother to try to explain myself here...or on the net in general...anyway. Glutton for friendly smart-assery I guess.
I mean, I married one, too. HA! :blue-banana:
